Is KidoX a real Launchpad replacement, or just inspired by it?
A real replacement. KidoX restores the full launch-panel experience that Apple removed in macOS 26, with the grid, the search, the pages, and the keyboard ergonomics intact. Then it adds the parts the original always lacked.
Does KidoX touch the apps installed on my Mac?
No. KidoX scans the standard Applications folders and stores its layout and preferences separately. Hiding an app only hides it from KidoX. Uninstall KidoX and your apps and aliases are exactly as you left them.
What do I get without paying for Pro?
Everything you remember from Launchpad, plus search, pages, hotkeys, hot corners, and the wallpaper / glass / solid appearance modes. The four Pro features are sorting modes, hidden apps, custom image backgrounds, and backup & restore.
Can I move my KidoX setup to another Mac?
Pro can. Export your layout, then restore on another Mac, after a clean install, or onto a Migration Assistant copy. If an app is missing on the new machine, KidoX skips that entry instead of leaving a broken icon behind.
Which versions of macOS does KidoX support?
KidoX is built natively for macOS 26 Tahoe and the macOS 15 / 14 versions where Launchpad still shipped but felt neglected. Universal binary, Apple Silicon and Intel.

Is KidoX free to use?
Yes. The core Launchpad-style features are free. Pro features include a 7-day trial, so you can test the paid workflow on your own Mac before buying.
Is KidoX Pro a subscription?
No. KidoX Pro is a one-time purchase. The license you buy is tied to the number of Macs in the plan you choose, with no recurring billing.
Which plan should I choose?
Solo is for one Mac. Duo is the best fit if you use both a desktop and a laptop. Family covers up to five Macs for a household, small studio, or small team.
Can I move KidoX Pro to a new Mac?
Yes. KidoX Pro is designed for real Mac workflows, including restore and migration. Export your layout, install KidoX on the new Mac, and restore your setup there.
What does Pro unlock?
Pro unlocks sorting modes, hidden apps, custom image backgrounds, and backup & restore. The core Launchpad-style grid, search, pages, hotkeys, and appearance modes are available without Pro.
What happens after early bird pricing ends?
The discounted launch prices may go away for new purchases. If you buy during early bird pricing, your purchase remains a one-time purchase for the plan you selected.
